Gaia Guides is an Alameda-based outdoor education and adventure program dedicated to connecting kids, families, and communities with the natural world through water-based experiences on San Francisco Bay. We work with families, schools, city programs, nonprofits, and partner organizations throughout Alameda, Oakland, and the greater East Bay to create safe, engaging, and meaningful programs that inspire confidence, teamwork, and a lifelong love of the outdoors.
If you’re a parent interested in enrolling your child in one of our half-day or full-day summer camps for ages 6–14, we’re happy to walk you through schedules, age groups, safety practices, and what a typical day on the water looks like. Looking for a fun, family-friendly way to get outside together? Ask us about Family Paddle Nights, a relaxed and welcoming experience designed for all skill levels.
We also offer private paddle lessons and customized group experiences for birthday celebrations, school field trips, youth groups, corporate outings, and organizations interested in outdoor education partnerships. Every private group program is tailored to your goals, group size, and experience level, ensuring a positive and memorable time on the water.
